Caracol Clay Studio is the pottery studio of artist Janet Grabner and her husband John Dahm. We are located 22 kms east of Drumheller in the heart of the badlands. Just follow the # 10 highway to East Coulee. Just 5 km past the Hoodoos.

Caracol Clay Studio

John and Janet hand build all of the pottery in their studio without a potter's wheel. The clay they use is from Medicine Hat, Alberta. They also make most of the glazes they use. Drop in to the studio to see us working and have a browse through the gallery.

Caracol is the Spanish word for the snail shell. It is the intrinsic qualities of the shell and other natural objects that is our inspiration. Caracol is what is seen by our eyes, felt by our hearts and made by our hands.
